Summary:

1. The new ATI 7 test still covers the same content areas.
2. The total number of questions remains the same, but the distribution of the questions has changed. See the TEAS 7 vs TEAS 6 Question Breakdown. There are less Human Anatomy & Physiology questions (from 32 questions to 18 questions), but the Life and Physical Sciences questions in version 6 (8 questions) has been separated into two areas: Biology (9 questions) and Chemistry (8 questions).
3. There are also up to 15% questions in alternate item type in addition to traditional single-answer multiple choice questions [Alternate item type questions and how to tackle them]:

   • Fill in the Blank
   • Ordered Response
   • Hot Spot
4. Would old test prep materials for TEAS 6 still be useful? Yes for content review. No for practicing alternate item type questions.
