Pros:

  1. Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses has concise drug monographs highlighting most important information, which is helpful for freshman nursing students and MA students while learning the pharmacology content.
  2. The most common side effects are bold and underlined in this resource. Life threatening side effects are ALL CAPS.

Cons:

  1. Do not have multiple drug to drug interactions tool.
  2. Do not have IV compatibility tool.
  3. The process to download and authenticate the mobile app sometimes can be problematic.

Steps on accessing databases from the library's website: 

    1. Go to the Health Sciences Library’s website at http://columbiabasin.edu/hslibrary
    2. Click on the dark blue button "Health Sciences Databases" just above the search box.
    3. A new page showing a list of databases should open. Click on "Nursing Reference Center Plus" in the yellow "Best Bets!" box or click on "N". You should be logged in directly on campus. At home, log in with your student email user name and password.
